All the UFC greats rn are in that range:

Jon Jones
Francis Ngannou
Israel Adesanya
Alex Pereria
Tom Aspinall
Stipe Miocic

These are the most dangerous men on the planet in hand to hand combat and they all hover this range. I assume it’s because any taller makes you less nimble and athletic and any shorter you lose size and strength.

athletic beasts past a height of 6ft7 are not going to be fighting in the UFC for 500k they will be playing Football or Basketball, lol. Better yet boxing.

Most NFL players are nowhere near that tall and basketball is chasing after a ball like a monkey. Jfl if you think any of those niggas would stand a chance in a fight against any of the ufc guys I named

copium. you’d need a considerably smaller elite MMA fighter to even give LeBron a chance. There are UFC fighters bigger than LeBron and they are not dominant

Jones is walking around at 240 6’4 lebron isn’t even that much bigger

Ngannou also made it off pure size and genetics. he trained when he was 22? 23?

LeBron James is 6ft9 270lbs with 40+ inch vertical. he would kill anyone if he trained at 22 also

What do Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, and Usain Bolt have in common? All 6’5

This ain't true. There are a fair few combat athletes who have been that height. Stefan Struve, Travis Browne, Wes Sims, and haven't had much success at the top level. Only one who has is Rennan Fereira and he got obliterated by Ngannou. The wrestling component of MMA benefits shorter guys as well, and disadvantages taller fighters from having a high centre of gravity and being taken down easily. With kickboxing, a striking sport, the average heights of the heavyweights are taller naturally, but even then, there seems to be a sweet spot between 6'3 and 6'7, only exception being Semmy Schilt really.

Even in the golden era of heavyweight boxing from Ali's time, most of the champs were around 6'2-6'5. It was long thought that the freakishly tall guys couldn't have that same agility, which changed with the advent of Klitschko and Fury being conditioned to a point where that advantage didn't last. Trainers now know how to make big dudes move well, but even then, the boxers in the division that are NBA-level tall aren't dominating as much, point in case being Usyk beating everyone. Watching Valuev vs Haye, or Hongman Choi vs Badr Hari are good examples of how height affects the biomechanics as such that being anything really above 6'7 probably reduces your combative performance as a whole, unless the fighter has some sort of genetic gift, or has trained hard to move with agility, speed, and stability, but for the sake of the argument, we keep everything ceterus paribus.

Being 6 is the best for fotball(soccer for 🍔 landcels)

Yes between 5ft11-6ft4
Prime DC was 5'9

Chasing heights of 6'7-7ft is bullshit

6’0-6’3 more realistically.
