In most cases its true, however I feel enviromental factors can make somebody believe they are gay/trans. The reason why I believe homosexuality/wanting a sex change is genetic is because there is no rational reason why somebody would choose to be something which is shamed by society. If you ever talk to a gay person you can just tell they are gay.

In some cases being gay and trans is enviromental. I would say a higher number of trans people feel like that due to mental illness, one of my mates had a sex change and it was 100% due to mental illness, he had a rough childhood but I never got any impression that he believed he was a girl.

I don't care much either way tbh. Once you're gay or straight I'm certain it's impossible to change your sexual orientation. What causes you to become gay idk, but the end result is the same.
