Would be the case 20-25 years ago, but nowadays such hairstyles and looks wouldn't be popular if it was common, frequent to get beaten or humiliated for this. Back to 90s you would get problems if you got some large tattoos, because it was usually the prerogative of criminals (small tattoos were common), nowadays it's nothing special.
