Some degrees of prettyness count, but it is true that the appeal of being pretty wanes over time, probably even earlier in my experience. Even back in the day, and I was in high school, I was called beautiful but I think I had less sex appeal than others who were a little less so.
I was more ltr material than anything, not that I minded. And anyway, I had masculine features like, for example, thick slightly upturned eyebrows, good chin and good jaw
