Decided to leave my house to touch grass this weekend

This time a friend invited me to his church group

I really didn't want to go but he promised to pay for my food and drinks (I guess I didn't wanna rot at home with ciggies and porn either)

To my surprise...

People were really NT and friendly

Funny thing is only about 2% of the conversation had to do with religion

The other 98% was about food, vacations, hobbies, uni, work and of course how Dortmund fucked themselves in the ass

I've never been religious but I would never identify as atheist either ...

but its embarrassing that it took me this long to figure out that this is what religion is all about...

its far better to just act religious and join a group ... lots of business opportunities and you might even be able to get a STR

im certain none of them are that deep into the faith

its just something we have "in common" that we can use to bond over

im sure mosque groups discuss banging JBs and synagogue groups discuss stock market tips all the time

Community is not all that religion is about. Christianity in particular is about your journey with God, fulfilling and living in accordance with His will, repenting in genuine contrition, praying, and living out a life with a transformed heart and spirit by faith in Jesus Christ

Community is of…tertiary importance. If you want a community, get a hobby like the rest of the world and meet up with the associated retards within it to chill and have a community.
