It all depends on how you spend your time. If you are unemployed and not using that to your advantage then you night as well get a job that takes away hours from your day. Take the time to learn a new hobby, build connections with people, reflect on how free you are.

Life is all about being in the right place at the right time. A lot of people won't experience that sensation of building meaningful connections if they are sitting at a desk with a computer for 8 hours.

Still have some form of income though, if your a college student get a allowance from your parents. In high school like me? Also get an allowance. If your an adult Catfish other adults for money,

anything that puts food on the table.

the way you look at your circumstances is what's holding you back. As for the part about when people ask what you do for a living you can always improvise. You seem like a smart person? So Im sure you can find an excuse
