Benefits to extremely high protein diet?

Kidney failure aside, Are there benefits to consuming more protein that what body builders suggest? They say it doesn't help increase muscle but there are tons of other processes in the body like hair, collagen, nervous system, bones that may be getting depleted from heavy lifting and stress. Could you eat mass amounts of protein to look really good?

your still talking about muscle growth? Body builders look like garbage because the protein is used on their muscles. Im talking about other vital processes in your body like hair, skin, organs.
