Nordic type socialism Bernie is going for would never work in America tbh. All of South America would flood to US in hopes of free money. That type of system guarantees you don't ever need to work a single day. I could literally drop out of school right now, go file some applications, get a decent sized housing for myself, have enough money from government to pay for all my bills and foods and have enough money to spare to buy some stuff I'd like.
Here in Finland a person who doesn't work at all, gets literally about as much money from the government, as a cleaner gets from his/her employer. If that happened in Americas, the whole system would collapse.

That’s true, the US is too complicated a country for the Nordic model to work but just by spending some of their obscene military budget on basic civilised things like universal healthcare would be doable. The UK has these things whilst maintaining low taxes compared to Nordic countries (admittedly, it’s starting to strain and the UK will have to move towards the Nordic model eventually) which is why I think Bernie is a step in the right direction for them

I don’t see Trump losing if he can maintain his current approval rating (admittedly hard for him to do) and maintain the economy (not as hard for him).

That being said, Bernie is the only one I can see even debating against trump. Everyone else, especially Biden, would be made his bitch on the debate stage.

I think Trump will still effectively scare the Americans of Bernies socialist label. And if the
economy is still strong, he will likely beat him.

Yes I think Trump will win. The Democrats deserve to fade into irrelevance if they go with Biden. The Republicans inadvertently won because they failed to stop an insurgent (Trump) in their party, whilst the Democrats are losing because they’re successfully stopping their own insurgent (Bernie).
