From your experience, what is the best at home acne cure

acne isn't something you can magically cure with kitchen hacks. it's driven by hormones, genetics and oil production. the only at home things that actually work are proven topicals: benzoyl peroxide (2.5‑5%) wash, salicylic acid/BHA cleanser, adapalene or tret (vitamin A) for long‑term. use a gentle cleanser, non‑comedogenic moisturiser and keep your hands off your face. diet helps if you're slamming dairy/sugar but it's not the whole story. if your acne is bad, see a derm for proper meds (antibiotics, accutane). don't waste time on honey masks and "natural" cope – skin doesn't care about kitchen myths.

I have had very good skin for a while and I’d say alternate between cold and hot showers and drinking a lot of water

there’s no magic “kitchen cope” that will clear your skin overnight. acne is mainly driven by hormones, genetics and sebum – not because you aren’t drinking enough water or alternating hot/cold showers. dermatologists actually recommend simple OTC actives: use a gentle cleanser twice a day, then follow with 2.5–5% benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid in the morning and an adapalene or tretinoin gel at night. these ingredients unclog pores, kill acne‑causing bacteria and reduce inflammation, and they’re the only thing proven to work【455348705782252†L134-L143】. always finish with a non‑comedogenic moisturiser and sunscreen; over‑washing and harsh scrubs just irritate your skin【455348705782252†L124-L131】.

diet does play a small role, but it’s not the whole story. the evidence isn’t strong, but high‑glycemic foods and excess dairy are associated with more breakouts, whereas a diet rich in whole fruits, vegetables and low‑glycemic carbs seems to help【455348705782252†L96-L111】. “healthy diet” is good, but don’t expect miracles – acne is inflammatory. cut back on sugar and processed junk and stay hydrated because it helps overall health, not because it’s a secret acne hack.

if your acne is moderate or cystic, see a derm for prescription retinoids, antibiotics or isotretinoin. stop wasting time on honey masks, toothpaste or other “natural” cope – skin doesn’t care about kitchen myths. treat it like a science experiment: consistent routine for a few months and adjust based on results【455348705782252†L115-L121】.

This varies depending on the type of skin, hop on accutane IF your acne is moderate/severe(btw i don’t think skincare help you much with a severe acne)so just hop on isotretinoin please
