It's interesting how not a single British champion was native English, was either ethnic or Irish/scottish. The last English origin champion boxer was Bob Fitzsimmons in 1910s

its gotta be Lennox Lewis for me. He was the next big thing in the heavyweight scene after Tyson, and had a hell of a reign.
In terms of finnesse/style though, i'd say Prince Naseem. The way he fought was mesmerising, as if he was dancing, and he also had the silverware to back it up.
I guess an argument could be made to put Chris Eubank as a top 10 all time British fighter too, he definently is for me. Aside from his charm and flamboyancy, he was an absolute dog, like in his fight with nigel benn.
