My hair is curly but coarse and frizzy, it’s always turn into an Afro-like shape, should I get full fade in the back and side? Currently I have taper fade.

He have high quality genetics mean while I have low quality one, my hair looks like shit and way more curly than him.

Now i started going to the barber to taper the side and back like this pic while asking to lift my hair before shaving so it fall down, i see a lot of people with curly hair getting haircut similar to this
However it wasn’t a big difference to me tbh, it’s just a little bit diffrent
I really wish I could have longer fluffy hair like this:
It really was my dream since I was a kid, I used to feel insecure when I see people born with hair like this.
