24, used to dress very basic. Like regular jeans + navy down jacket.

Was thinking about a Carhartt workwear jacket maybe? But the new ones don't have the cropped look, so I started looking for alternatives.

If you have the budget. I would recommend a waxed cotton jacket. Barbour is the best brand but if that's out of your budget. You can also find some on ebay for cheap or from other local brands.

THey can be unpractical. I ordered a vintage Burberry coat once, but the armholes were so low. Atrocious cut.

Bought some roomier pants as well (seen in the picture), but I don't want to fall into the trap of looking like a 15 year old, while also not looking try hard and dressing impractical for my lifestyle.

Moncler montegenevre if you want something puffy and warm, you can dress it up and down.
I’d prefer a navy/black coat, very classy.
Also if you got bread, the loro piana traveller jacket is amazing.

Yes I assume you mean Moncler, always seeing them fake Maya jackets, the montegenevre is the better model imo.
Then I assume you’re more of a puffer jacket guy?

It you said you live in Germany? Isn't it perpetually cold with grey sky? You could go for a denim jacket then. I personally like this one

Imo puffers with quilted patterns look better than stripes. Stripes kind add bulk to your frame while diamond quilts give a sleeker apperance

Coats/Blazer jackets do look classy but they aren't very practical. I have one and it's quite heavy hard to maintained and can only really be worn with formals. It also cannot get too wet. You could wear trench coat to overcome some of those but you lose out on the warmth. I think modern outwear garments give you more bang for your buck.

Nah, seriously, I’m almost 27, and there’s no issue wearing this stuff imo. On this forum, it might seem different, but 24 is by no means old. Most of the models you see wearing these clothes are around 23-30 years old.

Of course, it also depends on your personality. I’m generally rather messy, also looks wise, with ADHD and have a more eccentric character, so a perfectly polished/ mature outfit would actually look out of place on me.
