Best solution for protruding lips + recessed chin in blacks.

Am mulatto deathnik and have this moderately. Is the best solution a genio only or extractions first then bimax? Have otherwise good jaw wide etc but lack of protruded chin is such a failo.

Extraction will give u a chin because the lower alveolar bone will setback while the chin position will stay the same

If u look rrcessed after extraction u can look into bimax, but for people who have protruded lips (bimax protrusion), extraction give good result for chin and lips will look better

the issue is that the picture you showed the person has fucked up angled teeth that cause protrusion. I think in blacks its caused by a overly forward grown lower maxilla

You can't slap a genio on a perfectly fine chin if the issue comes from a ape-like bimax protrusion.

Usually it's a combination of both recessed chin and protruding/inclined incisors. Typical in blacks and asians.

I'm not a big fan of teeth extraction but there is no clear consensus on that question : some people corrected bimax protrusion with invisalign and no extraction while some other had to have extraction + braces.

I guess it depends of each individual and the orthondontist chosen.

the nasolabial angle change when u setback alveolar bone back and have less lip support

we need pics to asses better what u need

But if you have true bimax prptrusion (chimp lip/black pheno), extraction is needed to setback the lip

braces or invisalign without extraction can make space and usually setback 1 to 2mm (with stripping teeth)

But true bimax protrusion most of the time need setback of 4 to 6mm , which is why extraction is needed

Depend on the case

Doong genio for camouflage bimax prptrision is bas idea
