@Aeons Do I need to get this treatment after MSE or after my bimax? I’m doing MSE now and then bimax in 1 year. I had a lot of teeth removed when I was a kid

you will probably need to reopen the extraction spaces and then you can get mse because it’s required to have mse molar bands on the position of the first or second molar. you don’t have to get bill hang’s treatment though. Ronald Ead hasn’t gotten this treatment. Your orthodontist will probably tell you this himself when you take your impressions, scans, CBCT xrays. And he might reopen your extraction spaces himself too

My orthodontist didn’t mention anything about opening extraction spaces and we have done all the x rays and impressions. I had 4 premolars removed and 4 wisdom teeth removed. He is placing the MSE in this week and attaching to the second farthest back molars

Results?

I guess in your case you don’t need to. Congrats on getting mse btw. Us mse bros stay tight.

Yikes I’m nervous now cause my dr didn’t mention whether we need to open the spaces or not. Do you think he would open the spaces before , after, or during MSE treatment?

Nah. If he didn’t mention anything about it, probably means you don’t need to open them. no worries bro, your orthodontist knows what he’s doing if he is a MSE practitioner tbh
