I have 100g of 1% beta carotene powder, does that mean you have to multiply by 100% to get to 100% concentrate for your dose of 7500mcg?

So would i need 7.5 mg of beta carotene powder 1% concentrate in other words

You're correct in thinking that you need to adjust the amount of 1% beta carotene powder to achieve your desired dose.

Here's how it works:

  1. 1% Beta Carotene Powder: This means that out of 100g of powder, only 1g is actually beta carotene. The rest is filler or other substances.
  2. Desired Dose: You want a dose of 7500 mcg (micrograms) of beta carotene.
  3. Conversion to mg: 7500 mcg is equal to 7.5 mg (since 1 mg = 1000 mcg).

Calculation:

  • Since your powder is 1% beta carotene, you would need 100 times the amount of the actual beta carotene to get the desired dose.
  • 7.5 mg / 1% (0.01) = 750 mg of the 1% beta carotene powder.

Conclusion:

To get a dose of 7500 mcg (7.5 mg) of beta carotene from a 1% concentrate powder, you need 750 mg of the 1% beta carotene powder.

Idk if that amount is digestible since it’s not from natural food sources
