For context, I began about a year and a half ago with camouflage orthodontics (brutal I know) to attempt to fix my class 3 malocclusion (strong mandible projection, recessed and narrow maxilla) as my parents were opposed to surgical intervention. Even though I was above 18, they have amazing health insurance and refused to let me run it at first. As time went on, my bite only got worse and both myself and my parents became comfortable with surgery as I convinced them to speak to my orthodontist. Since opting for surgery, I have stopped with the elastics and the orthodontist has cooperated and began preparing me for surgery with stainless steel wire, etc. My maxilla has only gotten more recessed with pre-surgical braces and I can no longer even touch my top incisors to the bottom. These photos were taken at a time in which I could touch my incisors.

With my original consult with the oral surgeon, we had planned segmental le fort 1 for the upper jaw and BSSO only to correct the asymmetry in my lower jaw with minimal/no setback and to match the maxilla after the maxillary cant is corrected to prevent an open bite. Fast forward to today, the oral surgeon now suggests CW rotation (resulting in 1.9mm mandibular setback), only 3MM of maxillary advancement, likely without segmentation and extremely minor expansion. I am deeply concerned with CW rotation and would rather opt for more maxillary advancement, and by the time surgery comes I will need more expansion/advancement because of how my teeth have shifted with the final stages of braces/surgical wires. Upon bringing this up with my doctor, my parents lashed out at me for "not trusting the science and experts." I've read up a decent amount on the procedures through lurking here and plenty of post-op testimonies and medical boards, but I'm sure there are still people here who know more than me. I tried to voice my concerns, but my parents insist they attend all of my meetings with the surgeon and shout me down whenever I ask questions. I'm going back around March to take updated measurements so that the surgery can take place near the beginning of summer (only time I'm home from college/work.) Attached are some images shared with me showing measurements and treatment plans (apologies for quality, the surgeon had to screenshare through zoom.) Please help me speak to my oral surgeon or otherwise convince them to opt for more advancement and expansion rather than rotation, or if there is anything else I should let the surgeon know or ask for.

tldr - Surgeon is opting for CW rotation rather than more maxillary advancement, please help me convince them otherwise
