Is there anyone planning to get a PHD in this field?

No. I have degree in Chemical Engineering, before you were born. If I was going to choose major today it would be Biochemical or Biomedical Eng.

I'm just exploring my options. Heavily leaning towards majoring in computer science and then pursuing data science. I enjoy biology and am interested in longevity though

I'm in CS and I also enjoy Bio, but let me tell you that the stress from Bio is not worth it at all.

Bio is the hardest science subject there is, and if you have to take engineer classes on top of those courses (which are already hard by themselves) then get rated to be brutally raped by a 12 inch dragon cock every day. Only chinks and pajeets can go through that pain.

Source: Took Gr 12 Bio and got brutally gaped by the fact that I had to memorize a lot of shit, and I have a friend in Uni who's taking Bio and is getting brutalities 24/7 with very small chances of getting a good job outside research.

heard bio PHDs don't pay well either. I took AP Bio this year and it was okay. I haven't grown tired of coding over the past 2 years so I think I'm just going to major in that.
the main reason I'm interested in biomedical engineering is because of longevity research. Being a geneticist, or idk, something interesting.

He can make a drug empire by selling Finasteride, HGH, and T on this site. Breaking bad style

To get a PhD (at least in Cuckanada) you have to study 4 years on undergrad + 2 years of masters + 2 years of PhD work + publishing and helping research papers, and they pay like shit.

Imagine paying and going through 8 years of education just to get a shitty job at the end, and you would probably hate your life midway through that.

Probably with a great deal of research and investment in lab testing equipment. But I have no desire to. I am planning to 'make' DMT in the next 6 months, but that is not really making it, it is just extracting it from tree roots.

I've decided on R&D ML

Physics, which biomedical engineering theoretically involves, is way more intellectual than Bio.

Biomedical Engineers typically become medical doctors, perhaps the fancier kind
