Indo-Europeans is just a linguistic grouping; Indo-Iranians splintered off from Indo-Europeans a long time ago. You will find Indo-Iranians in West Asia and South Asia; in the latter they splintered off into Indo-Iranian (West Asia, Central Asia) and Indo-Aryan (South Asian). In Europe, the Indo-Europeans splintered off in Germanic, Latin, Celtic, Slavic, et cetera. The difference between white and Caucasian depends on your definition. For instance, I consider Germanic, Nordic, Slavic and Celtic to be white, but not other Europeans because they're darker. The first image you posted is just one theory; there's different theories but that one has the most support so far. Caucasians was a "race" classification based on skull and it extended from East Africa all the way to Europe and South Asia. In my opinion, only people in the Caucasus such as Chechens, Ingush, Georgians, Armenians should be classified as Caucasian. There are also white-passing non-whites, but I don't consider them to be white while others do.
