When I was a high school freshman. I had a MTB as my history teacher. On the first day of class, she was showing us slideshows of her life to give us background about her. She went on vacation to Egypt (her boyfriend is Egyptian). In a photo with her and 4 other men, she said that the shortest man was her boyfriend.

Immediately, several girls in my class were shocked and offended. One of them outright said "Teacher, why would you date a short guy?" The teacher then laughed, pointed to the tall guy in the photo, and said that he was her actual boyfriend.

I'm fortunately not a short man, but if I was, I would feel like absolute shit in that moment. I was shocked myself after that happened. Even at 14 years old, something seemed wrong about that incident.
