I do not have a very forward grown face, and have decided to make this thread informing users that you will always look like you have a high body fat percentage if you have recessed facial bones. I understand that many users, who are more well versed in looksmaxxing will already know this, so this thread is mainly for those who have not yet realized there is a link between forward growth and perceived body fat percentage.

Also I apologize in advance for the awful lighting and camera quality (I am using a Chinese brand phone, so there is nothing I can do about it).

In this image, you can clearly see veins on my forearms, and after physical activity that elevates my heart rate (or even social interaction) these veins become more obvious and even appear on my shoulders and chest. I am writing this and showing photos, not to brag, but to provide evidence that I have a low body fat almost certainly below 10% and most likely, a low single digit percentage (7 - 5%).

As you can see in this image, my face does not look badly recessed right? Wrong. The eyes are clearly above the ears indicating that I have lifted my head upwards, which makes my facial bones seem stronger, but also opens up my airways to allow me to breathe. When I jut my jaw, while in a neutral position, breathing all of a sudden becomes a non-issue.

In this image I am holding my head in the neutral position, which you can tell by the way my eyes are parallel with my ears. The red outline, is my actual outline of my face (this does not show up well, so is highlighted for better contrast). You can clearly see the dorsal hump in my nose where my maxilla has rotated downwards. The blue outline is where the outline of my face should be if I had ideal growth. Notice how there is no longer a dorsal hump as the maxilla has been rotated clockwise into an ideal position, which as also resulted in the lower jaw moving forwards (in theory allowing me to breathe in a neutral head position).

Now, my message is that your body fat percentage will not make your face look lean if you do not have enough forward growth (and cheekbone prominence, but this goes with forward growth).

Here are some images from the front:

(Please excuse the spot and cracked lips, I usually take better care of my skin and would be happy to hear any suggestions for fixing dry lips.)

As you can see, there is no cheekbone definition and as a result my cheeks look like that of someone who is overweight, rather than someone who has a body fat percentage that makes them look like a starved skeleton. You can also see in the middle picture my face is rotated upwards, making my chin look more prominent, but also results in negative canthal tilt becoming more obvious.

Lastly I want to draw attention to the fact that mewing is highly unlikely to move my maxilla into the ideal position as shown in the third image - and this is coming from someone who desperately believes in mewing.

TL;DR - Read the post you troglodyte, I have included images to keep your pea-sized brain entertained.
I can’t even copy the pics I’ll save them

I want to be a PSL 8+. I don't care about getting all the girls, I just want to look in the mirror and validate myself.
