Just know that there are people who are just as ugly as yourself or even moreso, who aren't as timid, who managed to learn good social skills and thus becoming attractive despite the discomfort they may have experienced in the beginning of their learning journey.

Well that would depend on your own values. Like you I have good social skills but for an opposite, and somewhat equal reason. I've never given a damn about validation. Growing up equally indifferent to both praise and scorn has allowed me to get along comfortably in way more circumstances than most. When I'm hated I can charm the pants off anyone that matters while simultaneously grinning and speaking black rot into the faces of all who oppose me secretly or otherwise, due to my impudence. For me it's always been a thrill to be hated. It's very comfortable when I'm in that situation and I'm able to slow life and the atmosphere right down to a crawl.
