There is no specific scientific research saying that insulin spikes lead to hair loss. But anyone here who consumes high glycemic index foods like white rice and white bread daily who has ever experienced hair loss due to this?

Probably not. Hair loss is mostly caused by DHT, a byproduct of testosterone. Activities which increase testosterone might cause hair loss, like roiding. Or it might be brought on by high general stress levels because the body abandons less important processes. However, hair is made of protein, (b-keratin) so you need sufficient protein for hair growth. If all you eat is bread and rice (carbs), you will certainly lose your hair.
