According to him the biggest problem with chess was the theory, and the prearrangement so studying it makes you good and it lacked "creativity". What he believe would make it better is to remove the theory and memorisation in the game which Fischer random does and the player would rely more on raw talent and creativity aka IQ. I like the guy but this is something I disagree with him on, genetic determinism in any way how, height, looks or natural intelligence will impact your life is a negative concept imo as it ruins the concept of working hard to achieve things and relies on natural abilities which is genetically determined (blackpill). Fischer believes chess would be better if you relied on raw talent and raw creativity which is mostly genetic over theory and memorisation which you can learn through hours of playing and studying

fischer hated the repetition not directly theory. it came to a point where everything was memorization and the russians were taught that from a very young age. to an extent he was correct, the game is not the same if the only thing being done is memorizing hundreds of lines
