In a previous thread I asked if you believed in bonesmashing and people on the forum disagreed amongst themselves.
Basically, by researching further, I managed to discover a certain type of scientific support to say whether this works or not and applied in which contexts this could work.
spoiler: it works.
Explaining the process:
In the Periosteum (Connective Tissue that covers the bones) it will have undifferentiated mesenchymal cells, which when applied stress become osteoblasts and which will later produce the bone matrix.
With this we can answer certain questions
1: Does bonesmashing work?
Well, it depends on the location, if it is a region rich in connective tissue, transverse bone growth is almost certain
2. Give examples of areas where bonesmashing could work.
Well, practically anywhere that is rich in connective tissue, any place that has skin is bound to have connective tissue underneath since the epidermis is supplied through their capillaries.
PS:
I'm still too much of a layman to answer any more questions about this, but this is what I know
