Read non-fiction, there are non-complex books for any interest, especially in English.

A lot of these ,,self improvement” books are just filled with water info and they’re a waste of time. I’m saying this from my own experience.

I agree, I just don't read such books or fiction. I usually search pirated websites where there's a ton of information about medicine or other interests.

fyodor dostoevsky, i recommend crime and punishment (around 800 pages tho)
crime and punishment seems like such a chore to go through
i bought it but never got around to srs reading it
i prefer strict non fiction philosophy books like the traditional writings of most philosophy books

Reading is for slaves instead go spend some time with nature
yeah reading should be secondary to ur life, i disagree with the fact that its for slaves tho, i use reading and in otehr ways philosophy to keep myself grounded and focused, books should help you get to you're goal and not replace it

its kinda funny and you'll find it really relatable, it does get boring though cuz the author keeps repeating and repeating

1984 is pretty well known, so if you're looking for something different, this is also a recent read that I liked:
