well it depends how u see love. some of us see it as a complex and abstract idea, while other see it as a chemical reaction. animals cant understand abstract ideas but there is a chemical reaction (release of oxytocin and dopamine hormones) on some of them. fish for example cant even release those two hormones, resulting only in an attachment.
