Cos the need for braces usually indicates improperly grown jaws which are associated with unattractive faces, and in addition extractions of the pre molars are commonly practiced and recess the appearance even more, braces also may narrow the palate arch which will make it hard to have proper tongue posture, further recessing the appearance

plus i think that invisalign takes more time to fix your teeth placement meaning its not as envasive just puts the teeth in place

everyone i know who got braces during puberty or before have either undeveloped jaws or pancake faces (very common in females).

One clear issue with braces is they prevent the jaws natural growth. The other issue is that to straighten teeth often orthodontists take a parochial of bringing everything inwards thus reducing tongue space. Then of course there is the more theoretical way it can fuck u up which is the idea that our teeth are receptors for our nervous system which then instructs cells in the jaws to remodel to attain optimal bone structure given input data. So if u start messing with the teeth positions, especially if u put things backwards and in then ur structure may remodel backwards and in.

Overall (normal) braces are just un nessasary when we have so many alternatives which increase tongue space, allowing all teeth to fit and any potential change in cfs would be positive.
