braces making mid face longer a good thing?

I have a short mid face and I honestly think I have TOO much foward growth in my mid face (I’m half black). I hear that braces (mainly elastics) can cuck your foward growth and make your mid face longer, which i think would ascend me a bit honestly and I would like to hear your guy’s thoughts.

If you only get braces there's very minimal effect on face unless you retract all teeth

I’ve seen people say braces recessed them at 16 and many others say that braces had recessed them aswell. Are you saying this is all cope?

Maybe in some cases, or maybe they’re blaming their subhumanity on the braces and not their genetics. It varies.

in absolute no scenario, would less forward growth, for a less compact midface be beneficial.
