Braces recesiion

I have an overbite and an overjet ortho is gonna give me elastics and maybe forcus I’m most likely gonna ask to switch to Damon should I do braces or should I say fuck it

I haven't seen a single friend/classmate/any relative with braces actually recess anything at all it just fixed their teeth form looking all British/having overbite. These looksmaxxers be fearing anything at all.

I see diagrams of the elastics pushing the over teeth backward in turn making the maxilla appear worse I think
