I have crowded lower teeth and upper teeth are mostly fine, i apparently have overbite but its very minimal. I was thinking about getting braces and asked the ortho if i will be getting class 2 elastics, (without extractions) which she said most likely. I asked her if they will grow the lower jaw and / or recess maxilla, and she said that they will only grow lower jaw and not recess maxilla. Is she bullshitting me for money because that fucking breaks the newtons 3rd law of motion, also i read that the maxilla is softer than the mandible. Altough my overbite is minimal, im worried the braces will cause elongated face, flat maxilla and stunt facial growth (im 15). Should i get the braces or wait when im finished puberty, or is it too late then?
