I currently have an overbite that seems to be worsening slowly. My dentist reckons that my teeth are shifting to make room for the wisdom teeth which will come through soon. Once I get my wisdom teeth removed is it worth getting braces? Can it have an effect upon my profile or overall appearance? If I should get it, why or why not?

Also b4 someone says 'jaw surgery' I'm not a candidate for that as my overbite is not something insane, its just pretty standard but it is slowly worsening atm.

Overbites are caused by your mouth and jaws being to narrow to hold all your teeth properly

Use a palate expander and talk to your dentist about other options

Ditto on the palate expander and also try to delay getting your wisdom teeth out as long as possible and hopefully don't ever get them out, get your mouth wide enough to keep them and you'll supportmog nearly every other firstworldcel out there

Why would you not want a BSSO to fix your overbite? You'll sleep better and have a more resonant voice, on top of gaining mandible length. Also, do not confuse overbite with overjet. Braces also fix lip asymmetry if you have any.

Sir I'm not a candidate for BSSO, no ethical surgeon would actually perform it on me as my jaw is not so recessed.

Braces alone will not fix an overbite. What you have must instead be overjet.
