So there's this woman at my University (going to school for a certain profession, won't clarify), she's 9 years older than me, I am 21 and she's like 30, she DOESN'T know I'm 21, but I find her legitimately gorgeous. She's Latin, quite tall, slim athletic build, HTB to even low tier Stacylite face.
I've known her for few months like (2-3), but only really started interacting with her this semester and find we get along really well with plenty IOI's aka catching her glancing at me all the time, brows raising for a moment and smiles when she sees me, occasionally touches me, etc.
So yeah obviously I like her.
Anyways I'm like fuck it, I just tell her one day when it was just the two of us "This is sudden, but I'd be a coward if I didn't tell you that I think you're absolutely beautiful, that's all." She liked the compliment and starts giggling and says "Thank you GorLee, thank you" and then I ask for her # and she replies with "Umm sure" and puts her number in my phone.
Flash forward to end of the day as were leaving our last classes and I basically tell her to "Give it to me straight, wanna go get lunch together next week?" and she looks away for a split second, looks back and tells me in the most matter of fact voice and expression "I have a boyfriend, GorLee" and I just start laughing and say "Oh shit, take it as a compliment." and she says "Your okay, your fine its good" while laughing too.
Later on, I ask a mutual friend who is older than both of us and she tells me "Yeah she has bf"
WHAT THE FUCK BRAH?
Why do women do this?
