vid talks about how everything in life is inherently genetic
eg discipline, attractiveness (obviously), IQ, risk tolerance, behavior, socioeconomic status

over before you where born:feelswhy:

well phenotypic plasticity exists so u can either LDAR and take the retarded genetics-rules-all pill or actually try to do something about it, which you do, as all of us, have some degree of power to do.

The power to continue is genetic itself, some people give up while others keep trying that's genetic.

theres a reason why some people can stick to diets and workout while others burn out after 3 months its genetics that drives you forward

Even if an organism can vary traits in response to the environment (“plasticity”), those responses are coded in the genome. The capacity for “plastic response” is itself a genetic trait.

If your genes don’t allow a strong plastic response for discipline or work ethic, no environment can conjure it out of thin air. Environment can shift a trait within a gene-set range, but it cannot catapult you beyond that range.

only massive environmental shocks (life-threatening accidents, war, extreme surgeries) can truly shift the gene expression drastically. That’s not phenotypic plasticity

If you have the genes for david goggins discipline, you make your environment “work.” If you lack them, you do a 3-month attempt and become apart of the statistic

and your just gonna ignore the success stories of “I overcame genetics” while not talking about the thousands who tried the same environment shift and failed?

i actually do think neuroplasticity does change dramatically from repair buildup over time, and self-epithanized experiences matter a lot too. your mental capability and repair efficiency are also heavily effected by upbringing.
