This is a controversial surgery and it has both benefits and downsides. More often then not, it's attributed to premature aging? However, the buccal fat pat is typically around 11.67 ± 1.44 mL in most individuals, and as long as the surgeon doesn't take an excess is it going to age you that significantly? I see the consensus is the surgeon takes all of the fat pad out, you get the nice hollow look subsequently but 10 years down the road, you begin to age badly. Especially if you have weaker cheek bones as your bones act as a tent for the skin, weak cheek bones, bad aging. If the doctor takes out 3-4 CC leaving at least 50-60% of the fat pad, subsequently making sure you're below 12% and not a fat cunt wouldn't this surgery be beneficial aesthetically. What is everyones else opinion on this? I know one user got it and removed all 100% of his fat pad, while it looks masculine, I'm not sure how he'll look 10 years out.

I had a consultation, and the surgeon said he only takes out 50% max, and he doesn't do it on people with low cheek bones, only high and people with low body fat. He said i was a good candidate but this is subjective cause he also wants my money..

Wow. I didn't know about all that. So if you fill your face with more fat, taken from somewhere else, would that make you age slower?

In practice, fat is what keeps the youthful look in your face. This is why people are scared of removing so much from the face. Excess creates a chipmunk/round appearance which might be bad now, but in long term can be beneficial granting it doesn't sag/jowl.

I'd agree with the cheekbone factor, if you have good cheekbones but shit fat genetics you'll be fine, if you do it without good cheekbones it will end up looking like shit and age worse.

The results can be good, but can also be shit.. Considering the simplicity of the surgery, risks and outcome.
