People often misunderstand what drives life. Its not about the strongest surviving, but about staying around as long as possible. Those arent the same thing. The first makes it sound like theres a goal in adapting, but really, adaptation is just a tool. The actual goal is persistence.
Life began by accident, through a random chemical reaction that tried to go against the rules of thermodynamics. It failed, because nothing lasts forever. But since those reactions dont know that, they kept going, adapting instead. Thats how evolution began, leading all the way to us.
The problem is, we are built to chase something we can never truly reach. No matter how well we adapt, we’re still heading toward the same end.
