So, I'm basically unsure whether I have recessed infras or bulging eyes, how can one tell without ct?, the thing is i have a browridge and upper eylid fat so from the upper eylid everything seems fine to a degree, but the issue is from the lower eyelid, if I put my finger there it definitely feels like my eyes are ahead of the bone under it so idk.
it also sounds to me that an orbital decompression would be beneficial in either case what do you guys think?

Bulging eyes is when you either have symptoms AND your eyes protrude to the outer border of your browridge (or close to it).

In all other cases, it is not bulging eyes, but just shallow-set. If your eye cornea outermost point is 1.5cm behind the outermost point of the browridge from profile view, then you have deepset eyes irrespective of what other eye features you are missing.

Recessed Infras CAN CREATE THE APPEARANCE OF BUG EYES which is e.g. my case. But you can see here a typical situation:

In the video, the human has deep set hunter eyes. But the lack of undereye support make them seem like "bug eyes". :Comfy:

Cillian Murphy's eyes also look "buggy" but from the side they are actually just deepset. A lot of issues in the eye area come from lack of fat or bone.

I have seen a few people IRL whose eyes protrude more than Murphy's from the side, but from the front their eyes look more "almond" shaped rather than "buggy". So the opposite of this guy's case. Specifically black and asian people have more eye protrusion but it isn't very noticeable from the front.

Indians usually have a combination of both protrusion and subpar bone/fat in the orbital region and as a result have very buggy eyes.

TBH, we need to define what people call "bug eyes". Murphy's eyes do not look even SLIGHTLY "bug" to me, honestly. Perfect eyes.

However, his main "failo" is the lack of hooding. his eyes are simply not hooded at all. Also, his eyes are ageing, because you might notice, his lower eyelid shows the initial symptoms of the bulging fat. He needs a blepharoplasty at least: would dramatically improve his lower eyelid.

ANd the girl, indeed, actually MIGHT have bug eyes, despite them being almond-shaped. Also, her eyes are hooded. They are just not set deep enough in the skull, or too large. However, she also lack the inferior orbital rim. So, it might just be a bad camera angle.

That girl was supposed be protruding eyes + bad orbital fat/bone and represent bug eyes.

For almond-shaped eyes from the front with protrusion from the side, just look at asian ppl. Some of these guys eyes protrude quite a bit but from the front seem normal due to good fat pads around the orbital.

TBH, i wouldn't call this "bug eyes". Asians just have really shitty Supras. If he just had an average Caucasian brow-bone, he would have standard deep set eyes. So, I would rather call his eyes "shallow set" than bulging.

But yeah, his fat pads around orbits are exceptional. i really like this kind of eye look. I hope i could solve it with implants, cause fat grafting is too risky. But IMO this guy in your photo has ideal undereye support. Murphy's too bony IMO :feelsokman:
