My m2 max (64gb ram) is in the shop so im using my m1 8gb and i feel very productive

8gb ram is so much ass, i can only have like 6 tabs open so i can be distracted less.

zero games ofc.

linux is great at ram management and the chrome version is way better at memory allocation than traditional for some reason.

also 4gm ram is basically 3 tabs max, with nothing else open. 2 tabs if you have a youtube video for music playing in the background.

That just isn't true. Idk if this is meant to be hyperbole but I can definitely have more than that open on librewolf. Youtube can be slow but once the page loads it isn't. I don't do any gaming but I can have 2D CAD software open alongside a file manager and like 5 tabs open and it runs perfectly fine.
I'm also unironically on a chromebook with coreboot

chromium browsers randomly throttle to like 12gb which is why brave is such a dogshit browser with no real benefit might as well use firefox, and mfers gotta run wsl or hypervisor shid so most people work with 8-12 gb of ram if not a modern pc

4gb ram on a windows machine is basically going to also come with a shit cpu and slow ddr3
