So in demonstration of an answer to your query of what allows us to detect a persons sex, it's in various subtleties of the brow. Because of how intricately subtle they are (and they are really really subtle: I tweaked only the brow and not the cheekbones nor intentionally the eyes), FFS is often a hit or miss.

Humans are incredibly well tuned to this in our facilities of facial recognition. We can depend on the slight deviations in depth between the male and female orbits to distinguish them, even from feet away or low resolution images. It's cross-cultural and universal between humankind. Imitating it begs an artist's eye. I edited it some more. Hopefully you can learn as I do.

I have no basis for my claim that it's sex-linked morphology other than we use the same clues to always distinguish the sex of children, and boys and girls have no sex hormones but do have different sex chromosomes in every cell of their body.

My theory of sex indicators is quite comprehensive I believe. It begins at the most small scales of the body and face: the midface where the brow resides. The order of operations is

1. Orbits
2. Hairline
3. Neck and jaw
4. Hair and the texture of it
5. Body frame and titties

Most trannies fail at orbits and their hairline; Some then fail at the neck and jaw; Hair is variable with sex hormones as we know; All fail further down the line until the penis is located.

The theory also explains the joke where the drunk guy thinks he scored at a party when he wakes up to the back of long hair in the same bed, but when he sees points 3, 2, and 1 the illusion is shattered: more information corrects his perception.

Some modern studies on the composition of muscle fibers suggest that there are structural differences by sex chromosomes too.
