Only incredibly low iq people train traps

Makes your shoulders look worse no matter how wide/narrow they are

Also, traps steal from other muscles. I legit cba training delts because of my traps working more than delts in every side delt exercise

cope, u just dont get the form right on side delts, look at this frame mogger with good delts, i can bet his back looks x10 more asethetic too

Tbf they have a point most people don't need to do shrugs because most trapezium musculature is activated during rows or any back movement where the arms are pulling at 45 degrees from the hips which is a lot of back exercises, the traps will grow as the back grows which means they don't particularly need any excessive stimulus. But your point stands because they are coping with tiny frames

put dumbells in front of you more than side, slight bend in your arms, put your butt out and your torso a bit forward, raise more to the side, like you are pushing dumbells away from you, not up, you will feel insane burn

If you have to worry about not training this or training that you have a shit frame and it was never gonna work out for you in the first place

Developed upper traps are a very dimorphic muscle and look very good if you have a good frame.

There was even a study (I’m not gonna go dig for it) that said increased muscle mass in the upper trapezius and sternocleidomastoid are very sexually attractive to women

Traps are like neck. They only look good if you already have a muscular body. Guys saying train neck don't understand that if you're built like a twig yet have a thick neck you'll look hilarious and will only look good in pictures above shoulder height. Same with traps. Should only train them once you already have the muscular base
