Calisthenics requires more strength to perform whilst anyone can lift a 1kg dumbbell.

Yeah, feels bad being bullied by people who joined 2 months ago for being new

Calisthenics is much more difficult to start because the barrier to entry is lifting your own body weight whereas the gym allows someone who is super weak to start lifting something no matter how small.

This makes it so genetically feeble people avoid calisthenics and go to the gym because the gym has a lower barrier to entry whereas naturally strong and genetically fit people are more likely to stick to calisthenics because they can more easily pass the barrier to entry.
