First of all we need to actually understand what consciousness and thinking actually is fully in a quantitative and biological sense before you can ever replicate it to a machine.

Even then I don’t think you can actually artificially create it without have some sort of brain like structure like a cyborg. Maybe only small fragments of it.

We made a rock do calculations, i think AI in the future will have similar if not the same free thinking we have. Didnt someone already made a computer with human brains too?
