Let's take someone at mid puberty like 16 would it affect the potential forward growth and by any chance undereyerea support?
we know it does increase ipd and improves nasal breathing do you think it is worth it?
and i think it would help with wisdom teeth too?

ik it does improve forward growth just asking if it will lead to a more proper growth later on

Not to my knowledge, MSE is a strictly transversal expansion so I don’t see how it could

No, MSE doesn't increase forward growth. It in no way shape or form causes any pressure anteriorly.

It can increase under-eye support via lateral expansion of the lower maxilla which supports the soft tissue of the midface, but the effect would be subtle unless your expanding really aggressively, which I doubt is possible at the age of 16.

And yes, MSE will increase the space your teeth, and in turn your wisdom teeth too, have and is used for that purpose.

If you want forward growth you need RPHG, but at 16 it would be too late for that.

Yes you will get Jordan forward growth by expanding your inter molar width, high iq

I mean if anything you will lose forward growth with an expander, because you make more room for the teeth to fall back up on. Gunson talked about that your lip may get more recessed as your front teeth move backwards to fill the space created by the MSE. Over for u

Yes and you will for sure lose one mm of forward tilting teeth, but yeah you might expand zygos and ipad with like 2 mm

might sound a little dumb but what if the expander is set on the middle of the maxilla instead of the back ?
