Can braces alone fix my teeth?

I have one of the shittiest bites on this site, at least my palate is wider than normal, thanks to years of mewing. I got all 32 teeth, fully erupted wisdom teeth. I've decided to get Damon System braces with Insignia so I can see firsthand whether the treatment will recede my facial structure or not, thankfully my local ortho is redpilled on the impact these things can have on facial aesthetics.

My bite is shit though, the front teeth of my upper jaw almost completely hides the front teeth of my lower jaw, I have a classic overbite like pic related. When I smile it looks goofy
