I've already had a pallete expander and currently under going braces for teeth that are too inward like inside the maxilla. Will braces improve it?

not too knowledgable about this but i heard they usualy recess ur maxilla due to the braces forcing ur teeth inward to straighten them if that makes sense?I've already had a pallete expander and currently under going braces for teeth that are too inward like inside the maxilla. recession happens when you pull out teethnot too knowledgable about this but i heard they usualy recess ur maxilla due to the braces forcing ur teeth inward to straighten them if that makes sense?
yeah braces can make your maxilla look worse even without extractions. if they pull your front teeth back too much or mess up the torque, it can flatten your upper lip and make your midface look more sunken. also if they narrow your arch too much, your cheeks can look more hollow. it’s not super rare either, depends on how the ortho moves your teeth.recession happens when you pull out teeth
My case requires teeth to be pull by the braces outwardsyeah braces can make your maxilla look worse even without extractions. if they pull your front teeth back too much or mess up the torque, it can flatten your upper lip and make your midface look more sunken. also if they narrow your arch too much, your cheeks can look more hollow. it’s not super rare either, depends on how the ortho moves your teeth.
not a guarantee and again im not super knowledgable abt braces specifically but might be something u want to look into with ur ortho. i had invisalign for a couple months and noticed slight maxillary recession so i stopped it.
I think braces overall is going to fix down growth and won't make it worse because that bite is getting normal and your jaw won't look receded like when you have a overbiteMy case requires teeth to be pull by the braces outwards
I also have an open bite and horizontally misaligned arcadesI think braces overall is going to fix down growth and won't make it worse because that bite is getting normal and your jaw won't look receded like when you have a overbite
