Can doctors be wrong about height predictions with no plate X-ray

My doctor said my growth is coming to an end but he has no X-ray to check my growth plates so how can he tell I’m only 17 is there any hope

I asked my mom she ytold me no and I looked it up you need insurance and shit for it I was hoping I could just pay like 50$

I think I already hit my growth spurt 2 years ago but it was like 4 inches could I grow 1 more inch?
