Can FFMI be increased naturally or is it all genetics?

Can one increase his FFMI naturally or does one have to take roids in order to do it? When i googled it, i couldn't find good answers, but out of the answers i found, some of them seem to indicate that one's FFMI is genetic and if you don't have premium genetics, you either use roids or it's over.
