I have no idea. I know you mentioned me in this thread, but I cannot contribute so much to it considering that my knowledge about Hollywood and acting is very limited. Intuition leads me to conclude that you will need to have connections in order to become a successful actor. Hollywood stars are good at acting, but they have relatives in the business that recommend them to the right people. If you do not know someone that can move the pieces on the chessboard, you are not likely to have many opportunities, hence the importance of networking.
