Or will they ask me to come in person?

My recession is significant so I just need it to confront my Ortho so my insurance can cover it

Video meeting is common

I just basically need them to confirm it tbh
I get you, but video consultation is the norm. If you're anxious about it, which is what I'm inferring, I'm sure they liaise with people all the time that are nervous communicating/talking about their particular case, they would see you no different and are all mature; they would not think any less of you.

He acknowledged that my recession is pretty bad but he's not sure is surgery the right option to fix it

I'm over 18 and as far as I know only surgery can fix recession, and I need him so my insurance can cover the surgery

I need braces too but I need to pay for them, for reference this is how bad my recession is:

Well I'm in Germany and here are 5 levels of recession, if it's from 3-5 level it's covered

I will ask him which level am I, hopefully that will work

If not, i will go to other orthodontist and say that I have trouble breathing and swallowing

you can try getting an at home sleep test and fraud it

Depends on the doctor. Some demand X ray pictures, while for others regular photos of your jaw are enough and others only judge in person

Do you know some that only need regular photos?

I just need him to confirm it so I can convince my Ortho

You mean test for sleep apnea?

Don't they check it, I doubt they will blindly believe me
if you do the lab one , they will monitor your brain waves, but if you do the at home version , they can't really monitor that .

also if you sleep on your back + eat heavy stuff. it raises your AHI (number of times you stop breathing) per hour. (you can also do this for the lab version)

Unfortunately i can only sleep on my side, but thanks for the advice

I will keep it in mind if I don't manage to convince this one, it would be weird if I only just now mention sleep apnea
