Can I still be an actor?

I did a play in 4th grade. Got the lead role but was replaced because the teacher had more faith in one student.
In 10th grade, I joined an acting class. When I transferred schools mid-year, I joined an acting class there. I switched when I realized I hated reading out loud. I wasn’t until my senior year when I was interested again, but blew my chances of auditioning for the play and the musical.
Is it worth pursuing acting after high school, or pursue art?

I mean pursue acting if you want, just have a back up plan. Unlike other other occupations you dont have to have amazing looks to be an actor, being average is fine, and some actors are even famously ugly. But you are very likely to repetedly be typecasted to the same type of personas and personalities that "suits" your face. So if you dont have the right face or voice for any type of character you are less likely to be sucessfull.
