First understand how minoxidil works. It can only stimulate the hair follicles to promote a healthy growth stage for the area you apply it to. If the area you apply it to doesn't have those follicles, its going to do nothing (this is in relation to a topical solution but it's vice versa). You could try spironolactone or finasteride compounded with minoxidil, but no promises you'll see the results you want.
